A robust crown of bark on the aperture of this black walnut vessel is reminiscent of quickly cooled lava flows. Jagged surface + rippled layers, like a continual molten river slowed by the abrupt greeting of aqueous tides. Extensive cracks wrap like tendrils around the bodice.

A statement piece individually, this vessel could readily be used as a dry bud vase or, with the purchase of a glass insert, a live floral vase.
